You will notice that I have put the company name "Best Buy" in quotation marks; this is not by accident, as the amount of time I have spent on dealing with these jerks has cost me more money, in my personal time alone, than the cost of ALL my computer equipment put together. Let me start by saying that extended warranties at the store level can be a big scam. I found out, the hard way, that you can get an extended warranty right from the manufacturer for about the same amount of money that places like Best Buy will charge you. I have personally had better luck dealing with HP over the upcoming story than with Best Buy. Let me add that I have attempted to deal at the store level, the corporate level and the uppermost management level (the COO and Vice President) and I still have a malfunctioning printer and a service agreement that the SOBs will not honor.
